Aisha, a member of the Los Angeles area Chicago Steppin' community, has over 7 years experience as a writer and marketing/sales professional. With her expertise and familiarity with the the steppin' culture, and experience handling large corporate accounts, Aisha will assist our organization in the selection and development of quality intellectual property and the overall marketing strategies for our nonprofit.
Ka'ramuu Kush - Director/Film Industry Specialist
Ka'ramuu, a Director's Fellow at the prestigious American Film Institute, has written, produced, directed, starred, and been featured in several productions throughout his entertainment career. He is the "Arkhiteckt" behind the production company The Black Op, of which one of their projects included a short film entitled K(no)w De:tales, which featured the dancing of Los Angeles community Chicago Steppers. Ka'ramuu has also been a member of the Los Angeles area Chicago Steppin' community for over 5 years, and as a respected industry lecturer and mentor, Ka'ramuu will assist in the structuring of our Behind The Scenes Bootcamp™ summer program, and in guiding our organization's overall purpose.
Dr. Tiy-E Muhammad - Director/Relationship Therapist
Dr. Muhammad a former professor of Psychology at Clark Atlanta University and Morris Brown College, has written several relationship articles for magazines such as Ebony and JET, appeared as an relationship expert on the Ricki Lake Show, authored Secrets Men Keep: What They Don't Tell, My Mind, My Body, My Spirit, and From Player 2 Poet, and starred on the TBS reality television show "The Real Gilligan's Island" as...The Professor. Dr. Muhammad's mission is to encourage others to find peace and love through establishing and sustaining healthy relationships. Now returning from teaching English in Korea, Dr. Muhammad joins our team as the resident relationship columnist in our newsletter, as an advisor, youth mentor, and an overall guidance counselor on our board to assist in fulfilling our mission to improve the quality of life for those we serve one relationship at a time.
Melanie Perry - Director/Financial Specialist
Jamie Russell - Secretary and CFO/Nutrition Specialist
Jamie is a corporate executive chef whose culinary talents have tantalized the palates of politicians, athletes, entertainers, and private clients for over 5 years. An executive chef in the kitchen of some of the most prestigious hotel franchises in Las Vegas, The Mirage and The MGM Grand at Stacks and Bare, Chef Jamie lends his expertise to our organization to provide nutritional insight and assist in establishing healthy meals and diets for our communities. He will also contribute as a columnist in our monthly newsletter, Stepper's Corner™.
Kelechi Uwaezouke - Director/Health Education Specialist
Kelechi has a masters in public health with a concentration in community health and prevention. Currently a Community Health Program Coordinator in Solano County, California, Kelechi has produced several wellness fairs and projects and will assist in guiding our organization's health initiatives that will raise awareness of full-body wellness and the prevention of diseases and disabilities that plague the American public.
